American Eagle Silver Proofs Now $59.95 !!!!
Just got an email this morning advising that my subscription order for ASE's will soon be mailed, and oh, by the way, due to the rising cost of silver, the price is now $59.95. Each.
Since silver is, currently, at 36.61, that's a pretty hefty premium compared to prior years... about 64% premium!!!
I wonder... will flippers find it profitable to do so?

Does this usually mean that the retail price is going to be $59.95 as well, or is that a special subscription rate?

FYI...there is no such thing as a "special subscription rate" offered by the Mint. For some items, a bulk rate is available. That will be the tentative price for their retail customers, subject to change.
Box of 20
P.S. Wonder if the price will drop if silver goes to $28-$29 this summer?
<< <i>Who ever priced them had to be toking the crack pipe a little too hard. I cancelled my subscriptions... >>
I will be watching the mintage on these. Will be interesting if it could come in at a low mintage. I just don't see how it can.
Any word on limits per household for this coin?

Which is a $14-18 markup over bullion value, but that included shipping, too. $60 seems quite reasonable with silver having recently flirted with $50, but not so much with it in the mid $30s. It would be nice if the mint priced these at "spot + $x".
