I beat a scammer!!!
had a eBay buyer with a feedback of 6 and all purchases less than $20. He then bought 2 coins from me, one at $45 and one at $220. After I shipped them he told me that only one of the coins was in the package and asked where was his other one (I had sent him a message earlier saying that I was shipping the coins together, and was upgrading him to priority mail for free) and he knew a bunch of sellers that ship separately (but his account was only 1 month old, so how would he know so much). I have had made mistakes in the past, but I KNOW I put both coins in that package because I was extra careful knowing his feedback.
I was pretty sure that he was going to win, but he messed up his complaint and somewhere checked that he was "returning the coin". Since he never uploaded proof he returned the coin, I won!!!!!
He is:

Spiro OK
ebay user: sueher53 (doesn't really match his name)
email begins with: wdrgp49@ (which doesn't match the name or the ebay username)
Sucks that all someone has to do is say "the box was empty" and they can just win by default

Sucks how people continue to try to screw with Ebay sellers.
Glad to hear the outcome.
BTW, I tried to use your user name when I was writing this post and it wouldn`t let me. It highlighted a 3 letter word in the middle of it and told me to go back a change it, it`s forbidden.

Your scammer is running a bunch of cheapie coin auctions himself...
Sounds like fun.
Good job on the save!

<< <i>Just one of the several reasons I do not use ebay now..... I was never a seller, but as a buyer, there are so many scams, hoaxes, ripoffs out there that it is just not worth the stress. I would buy from reputable dealers we have here on this forum (and have done so in the past). Cheers, RickO >>
I definitely agree with Ricko... There are a few of those reputable guys from here on there though with their own stores and just have to sift through to find them...

<< <i>Not so fast. I had a similarly unscrupulous guy file a claim that the item was not delivered. I provided signature confirmation info and won. The guy then said it was not as described and he won and my appeal was rejected. It was an $800 first spouse gold coin.

If it was SNAD, did they guy return it?
and who was your "winner" ?

<< <i>I'm a little disappointed. When I saw your thread title, I thought you literally beat a scammer.

ooops...google maps doesn't know everything!
when he is filing bogus claims and selling with the same ID needs to be careful because....I hear... that once in a while the same stuff can be pulled on him.
or so I've heard.

Really, there are quite a few rural area that Google did not do a very good job on. I have learned to not really on them at all for places in the middle of no where.

Long story he lied a lot and PayPal sided with him. It was back in 2008. I forget his name, I'll have to look up my old records. It was rickliner or something like that, from NJ. I think i posted a thread about it back then.
I just can't thank you and the other's who out these vial scammers enough. With the horrible and ever worsening Ebay anti-seller bias and the huge and escalating fees, the hassle that is saved the ebay seller on this forum by posts such as your is all the more valuable and appreciated. Thanks!!
