With all the fancy schmancy coins on this website, let's face it, there's something about a simple inexpensive raw coin (particularly if you can cherrypick it) that is really the basis of coin collecting. Post a raw coin that you like that cost you less than $100. This one cost me $30.

Paid $1 for this in 1969 or 1970. Bought a plastic notebook page of 2 x 2's of Franklins from a man I worked with for $20.

She has had them in a change purse in her closet for the past thirty years
