Post a raw coin that cost you less than $100.

With all the fancy schmancy coins on this website, let's face it, there's something about a simple inexpensive raw coin (particularly if you can cherrypick it) that is really the basis of coin collecting. Post a raw coin that you like that cost you less than $100. This one cost me $30.

No joke, I can't remember the last time I spent more than $100 on a coin. I could post my clipped Lincoln cent date set and the first three pages of my clipped 7070 type set and 95% of the coins would have cost me well under $100.

this is my Bonanza Jackpot 1970 Proof Set, three legitimate Deep Cameo coins in a single set, though i can't seem to locate the Half-Dollar reverse picture.the set is still intact and i think i paid the princely sum of about $4.50 maybe three years ago.

Paid $1 for this in 1969 or 1970. Bought a plastic notebook page of 2 x 2's of Franklins from a man I worked with for $20.

It's been polished up real good. I don't think it will grade.

Bought this raw at the very first coin show I went to. They had an auction there during a 3 day show in September. Won it for $95, and off to NGC it went! I was thrilled when it came back 64*! Has been CAC'd since as well.

I've been buying these for a while now and my hoard is up to 24. These 10 cost a grand total of $93.64. The gradings were free, since I had a bunch of PCGS set registry freebies before they changed the earning and redemption rules last year.

$65 (back in 1967, earned $3 at a time, mowing a double lot) I think it has a lot of eye appeal, especially the obverse.

From My Great Aunt Awhile back, She is 87 this year
She has had them in a change purse in her closet for the past thirty years
along with a bunch of other coins in a box.
Now they have been put into Air Tites and the entire collection will continue
through the family with notes on where they came from and how long they have been in the family.
