Now one of the 2002 hobby boxes has been ripped.
    A very nice box.

2 chromes (#/553) no star power but unusual to get two chromes in a box.
16 short prints - exactly as expected
    4 inserts (1 nap, 2 cr, 1 tn)
INK!!! but not a real-one - i forgot topps did this in heritage during this earlier era.

by the way, 2002 gum is not very good anymore. it just dissolves in your mouth. 2003 gum actually lasts a little while. 2005 is sugarless and is quite disgusting (even in 2005 it was gnarly).

2005 topps team legends: nolan ryan, boog powell, davey johnson, carl erskine, johnny podres, steve garvey
2002 topps team legends: frank howard, mickey lolich, frank robinson, vida blue,

People don't remember this now, but from 2001-2006 heritage retail was every bit as loaded as hobby. Any early 2006 retail case was basically guaranteed a gordon cutout....which paid for the case.
Coming up a 2002 hobby box

Why do I feel that I or someone else here is going to be breaking out the heavy trade material to try to get that Mays? Is it even for trade Jim?
  • Options
    parkerjparkerj Posts: 1,098 ✭✭✭
its all for trade....unless i pickup a needed hof blue ink regular auto. But i only need these:
    2001: Roberts, Slaughter
    2002: Ford, Rizzuto, Spahn, Slaughter
    2003: Ford, Rizzuto
    2011: Aaron, Koufax

all other autos i pull are available.

By the way I picked up this whole lot of unopened from someone via ebay for less than $800....its a buyer's market! and i'm a buyer!

I have a strange request for you, what are you doing with all the gum? Any chance I could have it? Why you ask, shingles for ginger bread houses. All of the family and kids get together between Thanksgiving and Christmas and decorate Gingerbread houses. About 10 houses get decorated every year.
