Certainly not something you see everyday ...

So after a pouding week which encompassed some 850 miles and 50 plus hours since Monday morning, I gave myself the day off.
Bills, finance and organizing some stuff. Figured I'd stop by the local shop and talk (and see some) coins.
Bullion buyers and sellers, some decent stuff ... but oh what a treat I got today. They have a PanPac 50 Octaginal in an old green holder, MS62. I forgot how heavy they were. Or how beautiful! Man I wish I could scrape together enough to buy it.
It was a fantastic original coin, with great color. Looked acurately graded, or maybe even a shot higher.
Just seeing it and examining it made my day!

ps. Did you ask the coin shop if they had a Layway ?
Commems and Early Type
LOL ... just a little!
It was just so cool to see one, especially after a killer week ... I haven't seen one in hand in many years now.
I could probably go layaway with him, but I'm not sure my payment schedule would be quick enough.
MadMarty ... no, the price was marked, and so I know about what he would take (I think). It was a little premium to melt!
Actually the owner wasn't in or I'd have probably asked what his best price was, just to know. One of his employess showed it to me.
Dr Mikey, I thought about fractional ownership too ... and it'd probably be worthwhile to a select group. The circle of trust would have to be pretty strong.
