Went to a yardsale with my dad and found...
a wooden box. The box was what attracted my pop. He collects wooden boxes and coins too. Anyway, the box was 1/2 full with foreign coins dating back to the mid-1800's. He was looking at the coins and found the following U.S.Coins...
1787 NJ penny in f-12 maybe better
1804 half penny w/o stems in vf
1805 half penny in f-12
1864 2 cent lg motto in vf
1803 draped bust lg cent in good
alot of wheat back cents and zinc steel cents. It turned out to be a nice find for foreign coins. The guy who sold them didn't know what he had. Sorry, can't post pics.
edited to say...He only paid $15.00 for the box and got these cool coins.

Your dad needs to set up an account on here, if he isn't already on here! He can join in on the fun too you know. You would always be senior though (joining first).
Something you will learn about very quickly on here - You need a cheap digital camera to take pics with so you can post them on here and share.

Ahhhh..even a Darkside Lord M You Suck Award (such as the one i recieved last month) requires a piccie or two , if only life were simpler..
my dad would have bargained even more.
he craves "a better deal".
How often, it seems, you find obsolete coinage in groups of world coins...don't people see "United States of America" on these coins?
