Ebay sellers: Have you ever left negative "positive" feedback for a buyer?

Some jerk hit me with negative feedback for the 1st time in over 300 transactions. This is the same guy that demanded a refund BEFORE i received the item back. Anyway, he never sent the item back to me and he never received a refund. I called Ebay and they will not remove the negative feedback despite the details mentioned above. So.....back to my original question, have you ever left negative "positive" feedback for a buyer? Just curious. Thanks in advance!

Several times....Leave Pos FB with a comment..."Sellers beware, wanted refund but refused to return item" or something similar. Ebay will let it stand as long as you don't use profane or disparaging comments.

    BTW whats the buyers id?

Here's one I left last year - you can't really leave a true neg. anymore.

Impatient, can't follow directions, likely dyslexic - now blocked from my sales.

No, my buyers are great customers, so I always leave a very nice positive.
  • Ive had no cause to , i doubt that i would though on the strength of what ive learned here. People do read feedback and can just as easily read the kind of feedback a seller leaves. For me it's easier to just leave no feedback at all and not have to worry about it.Whether we like it or not the seller is the bad guy on ebay and always was.I would add a follow up to the neg explaining the situation and leave it at that.
  • I did the leave negative "positive" feedback for him. This is a pretty cut and dry case here. The item was not sent back to me thus no refund. Im not sure what he doesnt get here. He has since opened a case against me, but the 1st thing Ebay will be asking for is proof that the item was sent back and delivered. We shall see. Stay tuned...

  • Don't do it. It's against eBay rules and you could get your account suspended for it.

Agreed. And once the "negative" feedback drops to page two no one is going to notice or care anyway. Simply not worth the trouble or risk.

If he cannot show DC that he returned the item or SC if it was over $250, Paypal will side with you as long as you shipped to a confirmed address and followed PP protocol. Good luck!

I agree....it will eventually drop off the first page and probably not be read by most folks....just adding to his positive score. I would chose not to leave feedback, block, and out here.

Possibly opened a can of worms there , usually a buyer doesnt realise the importance of delivery confirmation when doing a return and will generally do it as cheap as possible. If so there won't be a record of it regardless of it was sent or not or lost , if the buyer doesnt get the refund people are petty enough , rightly or wrongly , to go after a seller in underhanded ways.

I always keep in mind they do have my address and my phone number, i learned that when i got signed up for some mobile phone plan courtesy of a disgruntled ebayer.I dont and wont own a mobile phone so it didnt get very far ...still.. there are those types out there.
  • I have left negative positive feedback twice, the 1st time ebay let it stand , it was "received item wants money back and wants to keep the item sellers beware" the second one they removed and warned me. the 2nd one was something of the nature of "thanks alot never paid & didn't plan on paying". this has been a while back ebay may have stricter rules in place now. jmho
