Lincoln, NE man maced buying gold...
...foil wrapped chocolate coins.
<< <i>Lincoln, NE He wanted gold, but all he got was a chocolate coin and a face full of pepper spray.
Lincoln police say a couple lured a man to the U-Stop at 84th Street and Cornhusker Highway by giving a false name and claiming they had gold to sell.
The man, 65, told police the woman climbed into his car to do the deal, but something didn't seem right and he changed his mind. Then the woman sprayed him in the face.
The man pushed her out of the car, and she left with her accomplice in a beat-up, maroon Mitsubishi, Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood said.
Flood said the man described the woman as white and in her 30s, with mid-length brown hair, acne, glasses, blue jeans and a flannel coat. She left behind two of the alleged gold coins, actually pieces of chocolate in gold-colored wrappers, police say. >>

The buyer said something didn't seem right, maybe the acne tipped him off that the coins were chocolate.
Thankfully the guy was only maced and not worse.
