Find anything cool in change recently? Small find for me today.

I recognized an older Jefferson in a register and exchanged another nickel for it. Not the best find but a 1939 Jefferson, not too bad. Noticed the color difference from everything else. The lady I bought it from wanted to know how I knew image

Anyone else find anything cool lately?

I withdrew some cash from one bank to deposit in another bank and received a 1934 $100 bill yesterday. It was torn top center though. It was strange to see such an old note in circulation though.

1952 D cent easily MS63RD from the grocery store today at first I glanced at the change and there was this shiny wheat next to a 2009 capitol dome reverse Lincoln. A real odd couple!

A couple of weeks ago, at a pizza joint at Westfarms Mall in CT, I received a 1915 cent in change. It was a very respectable coin, even chocolate color, problem free, a solid VG with some of the lines showing in the wheat stalks. It reminded me of those days in the 1960s when I would search rolls of cents from the bank using a Scan-O-Matic. The find really brightened my day . The pizza, on the other hand, was Fair to AG at best.

Scored a moderately traveled 1969-S Lincoln in change the other day.

Got 2 69-D Roosies at the same time from the store down the street. 1 of em was a low AU and the other a butt-ugly 30(maybe) details. Also got an old-style $10 too. Looked funny after seeing nothing but the newer, colorized bills for so many years.

First of all, I know this is the coin forum, so hold the comments about that... I am currently in NC, visiting my daughter, and late yesterday afternoon, while stopping for gas at one of those gas/convenience spots, I received, in change, a silver certificate...... now that is different. Cheers, RickO

Allright since you asked (LOL)...I don't expect anyone to believe this and I don't even believe it (LOL) but around three months ago...preface...I like to shop at two food stores because just one doesn't have all the particular foods I like...so I go to the one food store and receive a 1957D Lincoln, very fine condition, in change...and I know ya see it coming...I go to the other food store about a mile away, and yes, receive another 1957D Lincoln, very fine condition, in change.

Not exactly a "change" find, but I got six rolls of pennies from the bank yesterday. There were 3 wheat cents in there, including a nicely worn, evenly colored 1944.

Last month I ate lunch at the cafeteria at work and received a 1958 D silver quarter. I didn't realize it until I got home that night, otherwise I would have gone through the checkout a couple more times.
