    Outstanding cards, congrats!

I wish the 70s OPC issues were more popular...maybe threads like this one will help!

yeah, I saw that. There are only 3 nines and one hasn't seen auction in almost 2 years so that VCP data is probably useless one way or the other. What do you guys think a 10 would fetch?

The SMR says a PSA 10 Topps sold for a little over 5k not to long ago, sold for 12k many years ago.

It also says the O-pee-chee is considered much more scarce.

At least 5k for sure and perhaps much more.

Amazing time! Most fun I've had on any rip.

    Final Stats:
Ended up with 45-55 cards that will be graded, pending further review
2 cards ( Killebrew and Fingers) that I need to remove some gum on, 7 cards that are gradeable if I can remove the wax from.

Pulled every star listed in SMR except the regular Yastrzemski card. Multiples of Robinson, Morgan, Billy Martin, Mays, and most importantly the two blazing Fisk Rookies.

To have around 50 cards that I consider gradeable out of 288 is simply amazing. Big shout out to BBCE as always. Actually, it's only out of 256 because I kept 4 packs sealed.
So, one in every 5 cards I'd consider as having legit shots at 8-10 depending on pop report, VCP, etc..(lots of factors go into knowing which cards to grade). That is just ridiculous

I checked their site and it looks as if your RIP cost $1,600.

If so you may make out just fine.

Good luck and this has been very fun to follow!!

not quite that much as I bought a '72 set and negotiated the usual "frequent ripper" discount.

That is cool they cut you guys who are big buyers a break.

It blows my mind that these packs were 10 cents at one point.

I really enjoy following your threads so buy the second box and rip away!

What an awesome rip!! Nicely done!! I am noticing a bit of tilt or diamond cutting on these cards. I would check to make sure the cards you send in are square. AWESOME FISK by the way!! Glad to see you got two of them! A fantastic testament to BBCE's merchandise!!

Jeff, I think the tilt you are noticing is that some of them were slightly tilted in my scanner. I made sure all of the ones I have in card savers were sqaure and they all are. A few of them have an ever so slight tilt on the centering but that's all I see.

Was wondering about this. I see this is labelled as a series 1 box. Is OPC Series 1 in fact equivalent to Topps Series 1 & 2?

yes, series 1 OPC runs 1-263 and series 2 runs 264-525. I'm not sure how many different ones I got. Probably in the 150-170 range. It wouldn't take too many boxes to make a complete set. Unfortunately I just bought the only 2 I've ever seen for sale.
