Here is one you definitely don't see everyday. 26 S Lincoln
I have no affiliation what so ever with this seller. I was perusing ebay tonight and stumbled upon this one. Way too rich for my blood but it is rare to see one in full red. Interesting to see where this one will end up and why it isn't in a TPG holder.

<< <i>why it isn't in a TPG holder >>
The big question
Ron
Nice presentation, but the question is why isn't it holdered?

Don't know anything about this seller, but 4 of those negative feedbacks were left
by the same buyer, someone who is now NARU.

If these coins could grade cleanly he'd get triple, easily, over what he'll see. There are reasons they're being sold raw.

Yeah, but no one leaves that much money on the table when selling on eBay. Look at his other pieces. Why would anyone let a legit 09-S VDB that is red/unc go for a raw price on a site known for scammers when $50 could net a huge amount more? Yes, some of the really established dealers (namely early copper/type guys) can get away with selling raw on their websites because their reputation precedes, them, but a random person with key dates on eBay? Nope.
Well, just Love coins, period.

true that...and I'm by no means sticking up for the fella, all I'm saying is ..if you know your series you should be able to buy a coin unslabed and feel o.k. about it, that being said newbies should always seek second opinions or buy plastic.
that's what I find great about this site.....the information is here ...use it.

Graded PCGS MS67R.
Consigned it to a dealer and I then bought it at the FUN show for around $6700. Within 30 minutes I had 3 offers for up to $10K.
I sold it some time later for $17,500.
I can't see the coin in question since I'm at work and ebay is blocked. Just wanted to say that, you just never know.
does he still post here? he would have an interesting insight into this piece (assuming he is not a bidder)
I like the look of it and think the color is original. The size and look of the existing spotting looks correct for an old lincoln.
<< <i>Any knowledgeable collector who would pay over one thousand dollars for a Lincoln cent that is NOT certified by PCGS or NGC is a fool. The coin obviously won't certify and "there is no Santa Claus in Numismatics". Only a knowledgeable dealer who believes he can flip the coin to another dealer or a unknowledgeable collector would buy this coin. Presentation, however, is GREAT. JMHO. Steve
I have bought a few $1,000+ raw large cents, and every single one I bought raw and submitted got slabbed. Am I a fool or rightfully confident in my skills as a numismatist? Just wondering...Mike

ha ha ha
My guess is it's re-colored then had time to grow a slight tone so it looks better than a newly re-colored coin.

Just wanted to say that I bought my 1909-S in 66RD from the seller off the BST here and was very happy with the way Tom did business. It was already certified though.

Nice presentation tho......I will not comment on sellers tactics or anything else

Oh AJ, do tell
I could see the hosts here bending a bit because of what it is. If the coin is acceptable to the marketplace I can see it grading. Even if the coin won't grade there is still some value there. It sure is a nice looking 26s lincoln atleast from the photos.
