from those photos, that coin looks like it could be anywhere from VG to XF, the dealer may not be able to grade, but a buyer should be able to see what hes getting, and shouldnt be expecting much more than what is pictured youre shocked to see it back up on ebay, im shocked that you would have expected a gem in the first place with that pic

I've seen his coins for years and I not only run quickly away from them, I poke my eyes out at the same time so I would be bothered by the images.....
I have not seen an auction of his that is reasonable or tempting over the last 5 years. As my knowledge has increased, I move further away (even the ones he does have that make it into slabs).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Even with 99.6% feedback, there are several dozen buyers who had various issues with this seller. At least enough there to have some concerns about buying raw coins.

I've always figured that ebay negative/neutral FB is just the tip of the iceberg. Most buyers won't even know they've been screwed until long after leaving positive FB. And the ones
that did know like the OP, just returned them for a satisfactory refund. Eventually this Franklin half will stick and the seller will receive + FB. I'm sure these are great guys
just like the team over at Harbor.

I think Pawpawl has every right to be pissed off. I don't always agree with the guy but he has a valid point.

Seeing that coin in the picture, I wouldn't want it. The toning alone would make me turn and run from it.

Error listing? Doubtful, more than likely just rolling the dice hoping that someone will buy it and keep the thing. That is the Ebay way...

Yep, pictures not good enough to buy from. Still.. most here take a chance once in awhile on a coin that may be worth more than image suggests..,,,,,Looking at feedback did Block a couple of "buyers"......"10 days in mail" & Sealed set "I opened and they were bad" image

Pawpaul must have seen an possible superb gem with NT toning to cherrypick from crappy photos. Nothing wrong with that at all. I have made some nice homeruns doing the same thing myself.

Isn't it against eBay policy to claim a numerical grade on a non-certified coin. Perhaps this item should be reported so that eBay can remove the listing.

    edited to add:

I had a similar situation about ten years ago. I bought what was claimed to be a nice MS half cent raw on eBay. When I got the coin it did look MS but was also hairlined like someone had cleaned it with an eraser. I sent it back explaining the issue. The seller promptly relisted it as a problem free coin. I didn't see it again so I guess it stuck with the second buyer.
