Baseball card guy here, found some coins...

tsalems1tsalems1 Posts: 3,373 ✭✭✭
Grandfather passed away back in 1978 the house he lived in was being cleaned out 2 weeks ago.
We found a bag with coins and some paper money. I will be showing scans on what I found in hopes
you guys can help me out seeing I know nothing about older coins.
For starters, there was a $10 roll Kennedy 1964 half dollars. The bank roll paper has a tear and the top
couple coins show some wear. I did notice however, 1 coin has a very strange back and color.
Check out the scans. I dont know if this adds more value?
My plan is to probably list stuff on the buy/sell/trade board but would like to know what I have 1st.
I will add more scans today of other items

Thanks for any help/info I get

Tom

I've never have seen a silver half as beaten up as the last one...Acid?
The rest appear to be uncirculated Philadelphia coins, with a silver value of approx $12.60 per coin.

21 silver halves = 7.59 troy .oz. of .999 silver.
2 silver dollars = 1.54 troy oz. of .999 silver.
    9.13 troy oz. of .999 silver @ $35.28 = $322 @ full melt.
Don't expect to get $322 for your lot from a mom n pop.
More like $250, maybe more maybe less.

Not sure about the Canadian half, I believe there 80% silver.
