Although I have submitted a few coins through a 3rd party, here is my first submission:

It was the 2nd trip for the Saint Gaudens above, and it has now come back twice cleaned! I'm still not convinced. lol

The 40 small date that didn't slab was a known problem coin -- a test case if you will. They apparently thought the tooling to smooth the rim bruise was the worse of two evils.

In short, none of the Genuine slabs surprised me.

To be frank, I expected a few of the above coins to NOT slab -- all were bought raw, most from EAC dealers, and a few I thought questionable -- so I was pleasantly surprised at the results.

Overall, they graded very close to what I expected. One disappointment and one surprise.

I was very encouraged by the results overall. I've collected large cents on and off since childhood (more off than on) and it was satisfying to see that if anything I'm a bit more conservative than PCGS when it comes to large cents.

    Oh what a night
    Mid December back in '63.

    Enough of that,

I sent in 4 NCG commems and they all crossed at the same grade.
I think the Antietam should have up-graded but that's my opinion.

Cracked out four GSA CC Morgan $s, probably in 1998. They graded MS 64, 2 @ MS 65, and MS 66. The 66 is a very nice coin and I still have it; I sold the rest.

Every coin I have ever submitted has come back a 70.

I sent in one UHR and got lucky. It could only go downhill from here. image

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

my first, Not PCGS, but still my favorite. Sometime in the late 80's early 90's. Picked the coin out of the dealers junk box for 35 cents and then asked him to submit it for me. I was probably about 10 yrs old.

The first thing I ever submitted was a two cent piece...to the old ANACS when they were still doing photo certs circa 1982. I thought it was a slightly impaired proof; it came back MS60/60.
