How does anacs graded coins compare to others

I just purchased a few SLQ's graded by anacs in the older small holders. They are all AU grades. I have been told that they only bring about 60 percent of the price tha a pcgs or ngc coin would bring. Would it be worthwhile to try to cross them over to pcgs, if idid that i guess i could work on a everymans SLQ registry set, or should i just enjoy them in their anacs holder. I really do like the coins for the gade. Thanks,
Jim

Do you have any photos of the coins? ANACS has had several owners and consistency in grading depends on which generation slab you own.
I think this probably something to do with the nature of the collectors. Those who collect circulated coins are more interested in the coins and less interested in registry competitions and the like. And to be honest there have been times when the “big two” have not been as conservative as they should have been when they graded circulated material. For that reason ANACS compared with them. BUT when you are talking about high priced, Mint State coins, collectors are more comfortable with the “big two” and will pay higher prices for coins in those holders.
As for the new ANACS, I’ll plead the 5th amendment.
O.K. tried to post a picture of my coin, hope it shows up.
How about the old ANA slabbed coins? Would you crack this one out and submit it to PCGS?
Can't say the same thing for NGC.......and I don't consider NGC in the big 2! There's PCGS and everyone else.
both of them. As far as the value of a given service, what Bill Jones said about higher priced
coins is pretty much true. Collector coins tend to trade with a different audience. Nice looking AU type
coins are always in demand, for a variety of reasons, and usually sell for strong prices, as long
as the eye appeal is there.
<< <i>Very Nice.

I believe that toning is associated with those old ANA holders.
This coin was in a newer ANACS VF30 holder, its now in a PCGS VF30 holder:

<< <i>I have had old small anacs holders cross at the same grade at PCGS on multiple occasions.

I think I owned that coin when it was in the ANACS holder. I thought it should cross then.
