With eBay receiving their fees based on the sales price AND shipping, they're not losing a penny... image

    That's just blatantly stupid.

Might as well have said, "Hey, I'm gonna give you all this stuff FREE, but you have to pay $790 shipping!" image

Have they started charging on shipping? If so, I guess one might as well offer "free shipping" so they can't ding on shipping charges.

Why would eBay shut them down? Nothing wrong with those listings.

It's a buyer be beware market anyway.

It violates ebay rules - "Circumventing ebay fees - Excessive shipping charges." But, if they are now charging their fee on shipping, I guess it doesn't matter.

That starts in July if I remember correctly.

That is what I was thinking. I have some stereo amps to move and need to get that done soon for this new "steal from the seller" policy kicks in!!!

Don't forget that if there is a return, the buyer doesn't usually get back the shipping costs.

From an ebay message couple of days ago:

The number of free Auction-style listings per month will be capped at 50, with maximum Final Value Fee of $100."

In order for eBay to shut down the auctions, they must be reported....which I've done

I did to the day they were listed. Then I followed up a couple says later saying if this was acceptable, I would start doing effective immediately. Both times I received the usual canned response, "Thanks for reporting this. We take issues like this very seriously . . ."

Yea Right!! image As you can see, they are still there.
