In case you don't want to venture ATS, here's what I posted over there......

So, here we have it, the results of the photo contest. I was extremely pleased with the results on a coin that I considered would be tough, but it’s pretty apparent it wasn’t.

I promised I would give my thoughts on who best represented the coin, as I see it, in hand. I hope no one takes offense as I believe everyone performed with excellence, but there are a couple that just stood out in my minds eye.

So, I’ll say, that for a tilted view, hands down, the best job was done by Mr. Bruce Lee. And, I’m not totally sure his was a tilted view, I believe he’ll be posting his method soon as promised. Mr. Lee will be receiving a small token of my appreciation for his efforts even though he did not win.

As for straight on view. Wow, there were so many outstanding results. Not a cop out here, believe me, everyone captured some attribute of the coin in just about every picture. As a testament to that, there was not one single picture that didn’t receive at least one vote. The best, imho, was Hard Times, closely followed by Keigwin.

Interestingly enough, there was a third sort of view. I call it the “mixed view”. Not sure what the method is, but it seems to be a mix between straight on and tilted. That would be Sir Messydesk. Big surprise there huh?

As you’ll note in the chart below, the hands down winner in the preliminaries didn’t win the finals. I thought that very interesting, and the best tilted view didn’t even make the finals of the reverse.

Interestingly enough, after seeing Bruce’s results, I came up with these shots, but didn’t see it fit to put these in the contest as I’d seen all the results before putting up the contest. I thought the pictures I put up were nice, but nowhere near the top dogs.

Here are the contestants, numbers and names along with their respective photos.

Thanks to all that participated, and Buffalo Joe, sorry we weren’t able to get your images into the contest, I believe they were excellent.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Joe, I think you read the graph wrong. Mine was just entry #1. Krypto was the winner of both sides. But thanks for the nice words.image
