Good hit there. Every time I buy a North Carolina Scratch Off I either don't win or win a free ticket which means I have to drive back to get another ticket which then loses.

I owned a convenient store for 3 years and I'll tell you right now those are REALLY rare. I remember selling 10 books of $10 and $20 tickets ( each book is worth $500) and my customers only hit $500 once. Anything over a $100 is like finding gold.
Edited to add: People classify winning the lotto as hitting a jackpot such as Power Ball or Mega Millions, but a win is a win!
Must be me, but I don't see where any of your numbers match the winning numbers at the top. I've gone all my life w/o buying a state sponsered lottery or game ticket. Don't intend to break my streak either.

I'm in the black in state lotteries in both CA and PA. The latter's a bit of a fluke because I didn't live there for very long, but the former was a low four figure win. The odds suck, of course, so I never spend more than a dollar at a time, but it's nice if/when you win.
Never really spent winnings on coins, per se. Maybe next time.
And this is about as close as I'm likely to come on the coin...

Congrats. I won $1500 on a scratch off last year, about had a heart attack. Had to pay income tax on it though since they report everything over $500, but they give you the whole winnings to enjoy for a little while.
My dad won $500 on a Georgia Lottery Black scratch off this past Saturday, he about passed out.
I enjoyed the lottery funded HOPE Scholarship when I was in college and try to "give back" some of it by purchasing a lottery ticket here and there.

This one was close to $500 but that was when it was in a PCGS 64, non-cam holder:

<< <i>I'm tempted to post a much more valuable coin in this thread, and then see how many shady forum members PM me to try to buy it for $500.
You take scratchoffs?
My dad's friend won $1,000,000 in a lottery, but I think he only gets $36,000 a year for the rest of his life pretty much.

I don't buy lottery tickets because the odds suck. But it's all about luck and you sure got lucky!
I paid less than $500 for this coin...but that was 10 years ago. Little bit of luck there too.

Well I guess I have to watch out for lightning. I won $1,350 in the past 3 days.
