fake, counterfeit, ???

Hey all! So what would be the correct designation for this coin? And can I assume that it's worth keeping? Thanks

I would not think it is counterfeit. It's a Civil War token. One of thousands of designs. I don't know how
rare this example would be but I do believe it's real and nice, too!

Confederate cent replica. They come in 1/10, 1/4 and 1/2 denominations as well. Possibly a 1/20 (half dime) as well.

Thanks guys. And "replica" was the term I was searching for, just couldn't put my finger on it.

More like a fantasy replica...the originals say "1 cent" on the reverse. The lack of a denomination exempted them from counterfeiting laws, like the California gold tokens that say 1/2 but not 1/2 of WHAT.
