So what is the outcome of this going to be?

Buying great coins - monster eye appeal only.
  • the way I see it ......., one of three possibilities

either the coin had a problem from the start or

the coin had no problem from the start or

the coin did not have a problem but now it does

Arrgh! The suspense is killing me.
Where are the pics of this flyer.
Has it been doctored and, if so, by whom?
    Who shot JR?

nothing sez they can't buy whatever they want ........

it would be a very fitting way to make the whole issue go away .......

<< <i>I cracked out an ms 65 Flying Eagle cent out of a PCGS Secure holder. It came back in a genuine holder (98) because of tooling or altered surfaces. >>

Maybe you shouldn't have carved the eagle into a ... *ahem* ... well, you know what certain 19th century wags would recarve those eagles into.

My guess is, that unless Stewart is under a gag order, if he didn't or doesn't get the situation resolved to his satisfaction, he will be extremely vocal about it. So, unless or until we hear a lot of noise from him, it means that either no decision has been made, or that things have gone his way.image

I hope that he can at least put this issue to rest after starting this and 400+ comments.

When this thread first started it raised some serious questions relative to the merits of Secure Plus grading. If the answers to those questions hadn't been acknowledged to have been of some sort in the public interest, this whole matter should have been addressed privately. Tell us what happened...it's been three months...geeze!

I find it curious that Stewart hasn't updated us on what happened here.

Everyone here knows PCGS can sit in session for a while.

I'd be very careful what you say to the person you are asking to be kind enough to supply info good or bad.

Now that's the same person who was "kind" enough to start this thread and make a public spectacle out of this whole matter, right? I'm just trying to understand.

    Low and Behold

I just got a package from PCGS and inside is an 1857 Flying Eagle Cent graded MS 65 DDO S-4 in a Secure Plus holder

    No Explanation and no upgrade

Across the country from Boston to Baltimore,New York to Tampa,Back to Newport Beach and presently resting in New York

Do you think I should crack her out again and try for an upgrade ?
