2011 mint sets

arrived yesterday, they look like un-frosted proofs. i opened 1 set of 4 ordered, super high quality, virtually mark free. insert says they were struck under high pressure with a brilliant finish.
just another type of specimen striking i guess.
anyone else getting their's?

But at least they aren'd satin finish!?!?!
WTH can't they just package up the dagnabbed coins that would otherwise go into circulation? Jeeze!

...got the word mine have shipped. should be here this week.
...mine showed up today. proofs were very very nice. mint sets were nice but one NA dollar has a little bit of
chatter/smear on the reverse.

I would think that if they were struck with low pressure then they would have a dull finish.
<< <i>that's artificially replicated smoke! >>

This is what they are supposed to look like. Several handling steps were removed from the process and what you see are very close to what comes right from the receiving bin at a press. Larger coins will likely show a few marks. This is similar to new coins issued for circulation decades ago, before extra handling began to impart scrapes, dings and other damage.
If you like the quality, let the US Mint folks know.
