Show me a coin with a "firearm" on it in honor of my victory today.

Please show me a coin with a firearms (pistol, rifle or shotgun-recoil-less rifles count to) as I won 2 of 3 competitions today. I shot against 83 other SRT/SWAT snipers, military STA/SS and security contractors. I took first place is 800 yd. small bore-open sight and 1000 yd. optic small bore. I placed 5th in large bore (50 cal or bigger) as I just got my 82A3 out of lock up and didn't have time to fine tune it since I put the NightForce NXS on. Anyways I took the 800 yd. open match with a HK33-SG1, the only modification was I put a HK-11 drum sight on the rear, the rest of the gun was stock. I won the 1000 yr. optic with my FN-A5 with a Leupold MK-4. Figured I would list them as some may ask.

Sounds like an awesome day! Congrats! Wish I had a good post for you.
Catch you soon.
JCM- yep they have it set up at Kelly, it is invite only which sucks because I would have like to brought some of my friends out to shoot. Oh well.
I never shot much rifle but did a few combat pistol competitions....ending up with a USAF Gold Distinguished in outdoor pistol during an international competition at Camp Robinson, Arkansas in 2004. I was the 103rd member of the USAF to earn that puppy. Some of the international shooters scared the he!! out of me.
The great thing about shooting in the military is the free ammo!
Here's a few old pistol shooting awards (from the 30's to the 50's) I dug out for this post, sort of exonumia? not really but here they are.

Congratulations once again.... Cheers, RickO
I did a little bit of NRA smallbore silhouette shooting, but most of my shooting was at the skeet range when I was in the AF. Lots of local/state/regional shoots and the Armed Forces meet in Atlanta.
Throwing lead downrange is fun, no matter what style or form it takes!
Congrats!
What kind of competition was this? Strictly LE/Mil, open match? VERY well done!
I attended a Barrett Long Range school in Raton, NM a bit ago w/an M107. The 10X glass was a bit weak for 1000 yds., but was still able to keep most in the black.
I've been shooting High-Power, IHMSA, small-bore, PPC and and have attended all manner of LE firearms/tactics schools for many years. I'm a part-time Sworn LEO, former HK ITD Adjunct Instructor as well as a certified LE Firearms instructor for patrol rifle, handgun, shotgun and SMG. Headed to sniper school this year. I hope that I can come close to your precision rifle skills someday!

My buddy is a USSS CAT team instructor. He's had tons of trigger time with the P90 but also likes the MP5 better.
I was at an Active Shooter School w/my agency in Dec. They brought in an AK-74 for weapons familiarization, it was a Yugo. gun I think. Very easy to shoot, very cheap ammo. I'll have to pick one up. I'd rather have one in an AR configuration though. W/an Eotech would be a great 3 gun match rifle. Not much energy for plates though.
Fine lines and tight groups to ya...

<< <i>DNADave - You were allowed to shoot in the USAF?
What did you expect with the New Air Force Larry.
I was in the 130th Security Forces Squadron, so I did a lot with M9's and M249's. HUA !

<< <i>Raufus, sorry I missed your post earlier. I am a combination between sworn and military. I have 2 P-90's. One is the FA/Sectfire and the other is a PS-90 that I SBR'ed on a form 4. I like to carry it in my Tahoe, right on the front seat. I switched out the optics on both and put EoTech 553's on both. The FA P-90 was one of the first imported and has the built in laser/3 dot laser. It is pretty cool and as you know very controlable in full auto and with SS-190 (black tip/leo stuff) it can do just about anything you need it to. >>
Indeed, SS-190 is the way to go. The commercial stuff is most definitely NOT!
Just curious, do you have the suppressor for the FN A5? When I was told that I could go to sniper school that was going be my gun. Then, at TREXPO East in '09 a bunch of companies had their precision rifles available for side-by side comparison in controlled conditions. I just loved the SAKO TRG22. The rep. was selling one that had just been (correctly) broken in in the the side-folder configuration at a great price (at least for a SAKO) so I bought it. Putting a Schmidt and Bender glass on it this year and, hopefully, off to school.
A very close friend of mine is a senior protective guy for a Govt. Agency. They just bought select fire LWRC PSDs for vehicle work, another great choice. They wanted to get 6.8s but the brass nixed that as it's hard to feed overseas.
(sorry for straying away from coins, but, on the topic of coins, this stuff costs a LOT of coin!)
Stay safe!!

Yep, tall grass, warm sun and smoke! Besides being home what else would you want?

<< <i>Raufus, I do have a can for it. It is actually mounted on the AI 300 in the first picture. I use a SWR Omega suppressor on my .300 and .308 and I love it! Will ballistic research sub-sonic .308 or .300 win mag it is quite as a suppressed .22, seriously. With 168 gr. Hornaday TAP or NM ammo I get sub 1/2" groups. SWR or Gen-Tech is the way to go. i think they still make the Omega. I have alot of time on the TRG-22, before the A5 I used the SSG-69 II with a Khales scope. >>
Thanks for the great info. Sounds like that A5 is working very well for you.
Didn't catch the can on the AI at first glance.
I plan to get a can for the SAKO next year, trying to figure out which one to get. I was thinking about an AWC Thundertrap. I'll look into the ones that you mention. I've used the BR SS before and have been most impressed.
Fantastic AI. I just love their rifles. One of my buddies collects them. Big $$ be sure, but fantastic.
Have you ever messed w/the .408 CheyTac? My USSS CAT instructor friend got to play w/one a SHOT last year. He's been a door-kicker for many years, a great shooter, but not a CS guy. Even so, he made numerous 2000 yd hits, including the first shot from a cold bbl w/an M200 Interdiction rifle.
Being w/a non-Fed, local agency anything other than .308 is not affordable (nor really needed) for us, but I do love my friend's AIs in .338 Lapua. We've busted many a 1 gallon milk jug at 800 yds. w/it just messing around.

A ton of fun I left to take up civil war reenactment photography as a vendor.
On my best days...I was always in contention for the top spots, and hold an expert rating in carbine and revolver. While probably not impressive to hi power shooters using modern equipment, placing five minie balls inside 6 inches, offhand, at 100 yards...not too shabby!
Heres one of the many many medals (the rest are up in shoeboxes in the attic). This one was gold for 1st place musket team.
