I have some John Reich Journals since I was member for a while, and I have number of the Coinage of the Americas Conference books. I consider the Coinage of the Americas books to be great assets, and I'm sorry that it seems most collectors can't buy them any more.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

The Bass Catalogs are available online through the Harry Bass Foundation. Mark Borckardt, who was involved in the cataloging, pointed this out to me.

Regarding the COAC (Coinage of the Americas Conference) volumes:
These volumes contain American Numismatic Society (NY, NY) lectures written up in article form. The volumes are issued at irregular intervals, and most of them can be obtained via Amazon.com or Abebooks.
For those interested in exonumia, get vol. 10 (The Token: America's Other Money), and vols 4 & 13 (The Medal in America; The Medal in America, Vol. 2).
Early Coppers---get vol. 1 (America's Copper Coinage, 1783-1857) and vol. 12 (America's Large Cent). The latter is probably the hardest volume to find. Both have lots of interesting information on topics such as the Randall Hoard, proof issues, restrikes, circulation of pre-U.S. Mint coppers, etc.
    Gold---get volo. 6 (America's Gold Coinage).
Silver---get vol. 3 (America's Silver Coinage, 1794-1891) and vol. 9 (America's Silver Dollars). However, much of the material in these volumes has made its way into specialty books.
Other volumes that I found interesting: vol. 7 (Money of Pre-Federal America), vol. 11 (Coinage of the American Confederation Period), and vol. 14 (Circulating Counterfeits of the Americas).

thank you all for your wonderful input and information

saved me hundreds of hours of searching

obviously large cents, tokens, fe cents, s.l. coins, halves etc all have professional work done but the half eagle classic head series i am having a most difficult time verifying the listing for all known varieties (29 i've heard) i have 1/2 to 3/4 of these and I think the information that has been provided here will help to bring me home

if you can use anything on my free page, take a look and it is yours

i have tons more to add, just need to find some time and think about it when the time is available

anyone wanting to discuss sheldon or overton varieties, cherry pickers guides just send me an email

While I appreciate your interest in sharing and disseminating knowledge, having copyrighted productions from an auction house on your website available for free download probably isn't the most advisable thing. I'm sure the auction houses -- the folks who paid for the labor to create those catalogues -- would be happy to let you link to their site, but as copyright holder they have say over distribution of it. That includes things like downloads.

You might want to ask permission before you offer too many more publications as free downloads on your website.

I do not host any of those files, they are just linked from my site to the hosting site.
