I'll add that if there was anything nice or underpriced for sale, the other dealers got confiscated it in the hour before the show opened. Don't worry, you'll get a shot at it on eBay next week. At retail + 20%.
I should add that most of the 5% that were slabbed were in either problem/genuine PCGS/NGC slabs or no name slabs. There was a little currency and NO supplies. I was surprised that only maybe 2% was bullion.
It also looked like the 95% would have either "genuined" or were too inexpensive to slab.
I don't always have to buy slabbed coins. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. But, if you are savvy enough, you can do well with buying raw-a least I have most of the time.
Our local show is probably around 20% slabbed. I bought a nice grouping of raw and slabbed material at the show today. It helped that one of my dealer friends just picked up a collection on Fri, and since his wife couldn't come, he asked me to help unload, set up, etc. Which also allowed me 'first shot' at the newps. The highlight is probably the 1839-O half in crusty XF for under Bid And his dealer friend had some nice raw but original VF/XF better date Barber quarters and halves that I was granted favorable pricing on also.
