Tips from the Grading Room from the PCGS Library

Mike Sherman had four interesting and informative posts on PCGS grading.
I would encourage him to continue here on this forum

to get better at this should strongly consider an actual grading set that they can use for
comparison. I'm sure that Rick Snow or many other copper dealers will be happy to help with
a set of Indian cents, for example. A set in PCGS holders that ranges from Brown to Full Red, with
at least 4 versions of Red Brown (20% red, 40% red, 60% red, and 80% red) would be a great
set to share at a coin club meeting or a coin show.

I agree. It is nice to see PCGS taking the time to inform novice collectors. Maybe he can do an article on how to identify cleaning or common counterfeit tells.
