I don't care about the technical grade, please grade the eye appeal...EA=?
I find myself looking for coins with eye appeal as appose to the technical grade, oh well, yes the technical grade does matter to me, but how does this weigh in with you as a collector? Do you go for the technical grade, or do you find yourself looking for something else? This coin pcgs grades ms-63 and correctly so, it has lacking details, but I feel the luster and the color more than make up for this weakly struck piece .

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

AT but if i had an album full of color like that it would be odd.
i would rather have something more normal for a nickel in the way of color.

me? it has great eye appeal because of the technical grade. Am I not answering the question or what?!
I perhaps should not answer since I'm not the type to pay more for color despite appreciating the colors. Saw a nice Morgan Larry/SeaEagle had in Baltimore with beautiful colors. I won't say which one because I'm afraid he'd try to sell it to me! I can't bring myself to intentionally pay more for color.
This one I'm neutral on because of the amount and hue of green. I do like the eye popping colors on the reverse a bit more though.
Catches your eye for a second and you keep moving.

I understand what you're driving at and I'll also market grade a coin over and above its technical grade for eye appeal. But, understand, that MS63 grade is PCGS's market grade on that coin, as well. As a matter of fact, look here. "Technical grading" isn't even in their vocabulary.
As for the coin posted by the OP, I like it and would buy it if offered at an acceptable price.

That is how I have judged the coins in my colection as well. Eye-appeal. That is why when I display items, they stop people in their tracks. Also why when I sell they get buried in some nice colections to never see the light of day. Usually it is toning, but sometimes not. I like this coin a lot as it displays a unique look. Sure, I would like a better strike, but this one is a nice find and I think it is stunning.
