Non paying bidder alert!

Please block ebay user name - edagio

He won an auction of mine last week and did not pay. Very little communications and said he thought it was something else he was bidding on.

He clicked BIN and told me he was going to pay in a couple days and then no other communications.

Thanks,

bstat

  • Man, that's a drag when a bidder doesn't pay attention and leaves a seller stranded like this. That's how I got my first neg. Sorry to see someone else in the same trouble. I tried to fight it, bidder leaving negative feedback for an item they thought I had and they bid on, but the item they thought the auction was for doesn't even exist in real life. ebay said I should make the bidder happy regardless! The bidder was near-blind or near-psychotic, I guess.

Lately I've been seeing some completed auctions that do not have their bid histories and/or winning bid shown, but some others, like this one, show the bid. Does anyone know about this difference I'm noticing? Thanks for the help in advance...
  • Sucks that he didn't want to pay, but you do offer 3 day return so I'm not sure I see what the problem is.

open an unpaid item dispute, you will at least recover your FVF, you'll probably get negged, but lets face it, youre the seller so its your fault that the guy decided not to follow through with the transaction.

<< <i>open an unpaid item dispute, you will at least recover your FVF, you'll probably get negged, image you can not get Neg.feedback. Non-paying "buyers" are blocked from feedback......Just relisted/resold a coin from a silent/fundless buyer. This happens 1or2 out of 100 ebay or BST board..image..I just block and forget.

Just cancel the auction they even have a reason that buyer changed his mind.

Edit to add: I had the same thing happen a week or so ago.
Glad I didn't block them as they turned around and bought a coin worth four times as much. And postive feedback was received today from them.
  • Same thing from Koinkeeper on Ebay. Purchased two items, no pay, no communication. Info from Ebay was no help. Phone disconnected.
    I posted it last week.

Well, I opened a unpaid item dispute. He did not respond, and I closed the case. I was refunded my FVF back and relisted the item at no charge as well.

I blocked him. There is no reason, if you hit BIN on an auction, that you shouldnt go to Paypal right after and pay. IMHO.

Block him if you prefer, or not. I did.

    Thanks for your time.

All your BIN auctions should have the 'require immediate payment' box checked.

Thanks taxmd, for that advice. I did not know it was an option. I will use that moving forward.

This feature will not let buyer complete the purchase until he makes immediate payment. If he doesn't make immediate payment item remains actively listed.

Only short fall is it will not let buyers make multiple purchases and then one combined payment either.
