That's pretty cool , i'm glad someone posted a Buffalo thread as i've a question. What does buffalo taste like ? I seen a place called the buffalo grill and didn't think much about it , just a nice name i thought. Nup , they actually serve bison , so i was wondering.

I do occasionally , last time i got 3 2010 nickels in change , almost all the ATB quarters i got came from there. A rich source of new coinage for the small price of heartburn and indigestion : )
Buffalo tastes like beef used to taste. Served it alongside regular steak at a barbeque once... the buffalo went fast and they were clamoring for more while the steak just cooled. Cheers, RickO
A couple of my friends did a blind taste test in front of me at a restaurant. The place offered a regular hamburger, a Kobe beef burger and a bison burger. The burgers were ordered medium. They expected they would be able to tell the bison burger as being the driest. It turns out because they all had pink, it was not. They were surprised when they found out what they though was the Kobe was actually the bison. They said it had the best beef flavor. The waitress was not surprised at all.
I don't anyone personally that has eaten buffalo instead of bison. Anyone?

I ran into this herd in our neck of the woods so to speak just grazing on the road and snapped a few pics...These are wild Woodland Bison and not in a park just out and about being lazy and sunning on a great fall day...Thought you guys would enjoy...

It's leaner than beef and tastes really good. Ruby Tuesday's has a Bison Burger on their menu. I recommend it.
