Coins-Coins-Coins

Santa was good to me this year, but I think looking at all of these pennies will take its toll. He also brought me 15 rolls of 50 cent pieces to go through. I'm a Happy camper. image

The bottom two are plastic and the top two are glass. I already moved them to the floor, bought broke my back...he-he-he... The 50 cent pieces were in a can. Take care

In case anyone is wondering, there are $375.00 in pennies acquired from friends of my wife that had been throwing them in jars throughout the year. Lucky me that I married a sweetie pie. I had no idea she was doing this.

The 50 cent pieces were confiscated allegedly during a drug raid, cleared by the courts, and deposited into a bank. At least this is what the bank teller stated. They more than likely have been gown through, so I'm not expecting any silver. We'll see...image

Just completed the 15 rolls of 50 cent pieces looking for silver. Don't know much about these, but according to the Red Book, I think I did well.

I'd search the halves first and then spend them on one of those penny checkers
on ebay. You know....the ones that magnify and flip the coins....the Scan-O-Matic
    dohickeys.

Looks like a lot of fun! Let us know what you find. You already did very well with the halves- '65s are pretty tough to find.

The before pic of the wrapped tower of pennies is too cool! image

Thanks everybody. I couldn't wait to get up and get started on some of the cents. I'll probably wish otherwise at a later time. God, this is like being in a candy store...LOL

How cool is that, my friend brought over one of those big plastic jug halfway filled with pennies, i started to seperate them in years and will than go back with the cherry pickers guide and start searching. The pennies do take alot longer to go thru than the halves. I figure with all this snow around its time to go thru all these. Good luck on your search...do you keep the copper ones?image

My eyes get all weird after going through a bunch of cents. Focusing on tiny errors is very tedious.

Looking at the cents right now and know what you mean. Nothing yet except some 82's and earlier. I have quite an amount of these since I've been throwing them in jars for the last couple years. Back to the eye strain. I just know I will find something of value in all the cents received for Christmas. Positive thinker...LOL
