my type bust half, 1822

decided to waste some money on myself...coin is overall darker in hand, but I really really like the overall effect and detail of this example. I thought I might find the obv markings distracting but I dont even see 'em for some reason.

love is blind. I realize this is NOT going to be to some people's taste.

like "petey" from the little rascals. I thought these marks might bother me but they dont at all. to each his/her own.

    I like her.
    I always like early 20's CBH's.
    She has a great look. A few less hairlines would be nice, but so would a lot of
    other things in life.
    Nice coin, nice look.
    Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

    Always nice to see another collector overwhelmed by the look of the capped Bust Half Dollars.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

    Nice example for a Dansco. Mine is from my Dad. Submitted it to PCGS, was in his set. Came back genuine. Cracked it out and put it into the Dansco. It's an 1819/8.
    You only live life once, enjoy it like it's your last day. It just MIGHT be!

    It's a decent coin. It was cleaned at one time which is most obvious on the obverse, but it still has an attractive look and the right price a nice addition for many collections.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    it amazing what the halogen lights emphasize... some people questions why I'm keeping the coin: cause I like, and in hand it looks way more like this:

    far from perfect but it doesn't scream "harshly cleaned" as the first image implies. to me, old wipe and retoned.
