The Year In Coins

For me. I have been medallic this year. And there appears to be only ONE US made item in this mix! image

(I guess i'm leaving out that which I purchased from the US mint. I just don't feel like taking pictures of it. Huh.)

I didn't really follow anything other than "what I wanted". Except for the mint purchases. I am apparently compelled to purchase those whether or not I want them. And I don't really consider them special enough to photograph. I need to think hard about that.

Feel free to post your stuff. This should not be just my thread.

(probably other thread like this, but I didn't look. I had lots of links to type)

One of my end-of-year activities is to try and shift the cabinet display to two shelves.

That'll allow me to make purchases in 2011.

I love the cathedral medals, I have them on my list to buy, but never seem to focus a search on them. I have wanted one for 2-3 years now after seeing yours!

Very nice Adam. You've been busy this year.

Ironically I like the first one the best.

I also think the first one was the very best. I purchased it at a San Jose show. Walked the whole bourse first. This medal had about 3 times the class of anything else on the bourse. Seems to be in pretty good shape for a medal made in 1735.
