First photos with my new 105mm 1:1 MF Macro lens

everything was done in full manual sorry if they are not perfect need to leaner this new lens, these are the 3rd and 4th photos i have taken with the lens.

But I must say WOW, I am now able to take photos of all my smaller coins full frame with no macro filters or extinction tubes.

My hands are shaking with excitement at what this lens can do

The slab it's not doing you a favor. With a couple of shots on a raw coin - you'll soon be the expert. This is a nice photo and you obviously have a great lens there - with a little bit different angle of your lights - it would be even better.

Lots more fun ahead. It's addicting. But it improves your eye too.

Unless the dime is really golden you should fix the color. Halogen lighting (which most of us prefer, most of the time) will give you a little too much red which you can correct after shooting. What post-processing software are you using?

I agree with Lance about the lights - some 6000K lights and the effect would be different. But don't really bother James - this last picture is already very good - you almost completely nullify the effect of the slab reflection. And as Lance is asking you - What post-processing software are you using? Probably non jet - this picture is as shot IMO. So don't wory 2 much about the color - with some saturation and color adjustment it would look like this:

So far, so good. Now pull the window shade or otherwise darken the room. You have some faint daylight polluting the picture from 9:00. Then set the white balance on the camera to match your bulbs and you'll have a really nice picture.

Great focus and detail. On my computer screen it looks a bit too dark.

That's a decent example of 1940D RPM#2. Pretty nice die variety!
