1878-CC DMPL guess the grade, grade posted on post 50

Picked this on up at the Santa Clara show yesterday. I have been waiting for an example of this year that was attractive. This is the die pair I find the most attractive after viewing several of this date.
I have showed the coin to a few people at the show and nobody has been right yet. Coin is housed in a OGYH (old greenish yellow holder).
Looking forward to the guesses......

That's what I was going to say the minute I saw her. She's a VAM-and-a-half, though, too--look at those cracks top of reverse lettering!

I will wait for a few more guesses on the grade before I reveal it but have to comment on this opost. Here is a hint, the coin is graded DMPL. To me it is very cool to have a DMPL with this many cracks. Just got home from the show, like range of guesses so far.

Well, while it may be cool, I think it's hardly unusual. After all, this is a mint state coin. I'll tell you this much, though. It's the detail and depth of that strike, especially on that obverse, that's the truly remarkable aspect. It gets an assist from the proof-like surface, but, that's just illusory. In other words, that strike could stand on its own.
On these kinds of surfaces (and, I'm usually wrong, here, BTW, just so you know), I'm inclined to be more forgiving on the grade. The reason is that frail surface was never intended to withstand the more abusive mint state storage conditions, namely, banging around in a bag against other, more durable, mint state coins. As such, if this is a DMPL, I think I could go up to a 63DMPL market on it. To put that in some perspective, were it a proof coin, say, I think I'd give it a PF61. It's the conditions this unfortunate thing had to be subjected to that turns the tide. Even those polish marks on that later-stage reverse would be much less apparent were that surface a regular mint state surface.
That's my final answer. I rest my case.

SO impatient......
Here is the label. Showing the coin at the show I was getting guesses mainly 63 DMPL. One 64PL guess, one 61 DMPL guess, a few 62 DMPL guesses. Coin is a clear DMPL and I think much closer to 62DMPL. It is my first 60DMPL.
