American Eagle 2010 Proof orders cancelled "in error!"

I just received an email that my standing order for a decade of a Eagle proof was cancelled. That was followed by the same for the additional two that I ordered, after the fact, from the Mint.
I called the Mint to ask about this. I was told that the e-mails were sent out "in error but...."
ALL were canceled but they were canceled due to a computer glitch and will be reinstated and reprogrammed by the Mint. There is not, at present in addition, a release date, regardless of when we've all be notified, for them to be sent....but the orders will be automatically re-entered by the Mint.
Going to the website now and checking my account, it lists all my orders as cancelled. No capabilities exist to re-enter an order.
So.....deep breath.....
1. Either we take the Mint's word that they had a massive computer burp, all canceled orders will be reinstated by them and sent at some time (not when we were told) to be determined by them, by year's end.
OR
2. The Mint has run out of blanks, got backlogged by the national park hockey pucks, etc.....and they really are canceling the ASE 2010 Proofs!
The customer service rep sounded very knowledgeable and sincere. I tend to believe her with my only doubt being that she only knows what she is told.
She did tell me, in addition, that the CSRs have no knowledge, at all, about the hockey pucks. They don't know anything beyond that they will not be sold directly to consumers (only through the usual secondary market). Nothing else about release date, cost, etc.
What do you think......is this the unofficial and, as yet, unannounced termination of the 2010 ASE Proofs?

The Mint cannot get out of their own way in terms of IT and managing the process. Over 100k of emails were accidentally sent out recently as part of a "test".

Your post of 400k already "ready to go" is right in line with my thoughts as well, and I would add ----the capacity to go another 200,000+ by year end.
Anyway you cut it, 600,000+ coins is closing in on "normal mintage levels" for recent silver eagle proofs, surely not a contender for a quick flip.

Not a lot of other 2010 mint products to compete with. I think the modern collectors' appetite for "new stuff" will make these a winner.
