Funds are back in the account, and hopefully in my bank account in the next few days.
Problem is if you keep selling on e-bay, there are always funds going into and out of your account. If he files a credit card dispute, we are back to square one...funds frozen. I called paypal, and they said if he did that, they can't stop it, and his credit card company makes the decision based on the facts. In essence he has 3 chances to win a dispute. One with E-Bay, he lost, one with Paypal, he lost, now he gets opportunity #3. Maybe he jsut decided to keep the coin. Looking at the pics of what he bought, mine looks pretty good. He also bought 2 raw ones, one for $4100. That's a pretty iffy call, but bought from a decent seller.

I've been through this too. Paypal represented me in the credit card dispute and since they had already found in my favor on the paypal dispute, they told me that I had nothing to worry about, there is no double jeopardy on paypal. In the end, paypal ate the credit card chargeback.

Close the paypal account and open a new one. Better yet, always have a couple of paypal accounts so you can shut one down in the event something like this happens.

Has PayPal changed their rules? At one time at least, you could only file INR or SNAD, and never more than one claim on a single item. If you filed INR, and then a week later it showed up, but it turned out to be SNAD, you were hosed.
He is a savy player and understands the rules well.
His INR was filed with E-Bay, then the SNAD was filed with paypal. Those were the ones that were dismissed. You can only file once with each part of the mix.

Oh wow. So with eBay now offering their own complaint process, scammers now get two bites at the proverbial apple instead of just one.

And if eBay actually gave a damn about allowing sellers to protect themselves, every time an eBay userID was changed, all blocked bidder lists with that userID would also be updated with the new ID.
Ebay is like swimming in the neighborhood pool. You know peole are peeing in it but you tend to ignore it and hope for the best. MJ

I just can't imagine the cc company will side with their customer after he lost both ebay and PP complaints and went well past the date he could have returned the coin for a refund as stated in the original description on eBay. Not to mention the fact he sent an email stating the matter was resolved. I'd love to see his reasons given to the cc company on this one, but I know that will not happen.

And foxhunttreasuresanthony, if yer reading this, (which you obviously are) we'll block your next ebay name change as well!
What you did was just wrong on all counts and I'm hoping eBay trashes your account.
The name is LEE!
I just tried to block it and ebay states no such id?
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
does PAYPAL cover, even if they have to give the money back?
does the buyer possibly get the coin for free?
or do you have a negative PAYPAL balance all of a sudden?
the buyer will not get the coin for free. If it was that simple, everyone would do it.
Paypal has told me they will fight the charge back since I have won the paypal dispute.
Not sure the time frame, but my paypal account will be empty, so if by a long shot the buyer wins, then I'll jsut end up with a negative balance.
Paypal assures me no funds will be returned to the seller until the identical coin I shipped is returned.
