Got this for ye olde Type Set. It kind of spoke to me. The first set of images are by Bob Campbell and the second set are by Shane Canup. I think they both did an excellent job. The coin is graded PCGS (and CAC) MS64.

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry, forgot to add it's a BN.

EDITED IN 2021 to replace PhotoBucket images with direct to CU download images.

Well...if you are into awesome toned copper then I think you did just OK - but if you are ever dissatisfied please feel free to send it to me! image

That looks like a very nice example. Is it designated "BN" or "RB"?

The photos were done by two different people with two different cameras (one Nikon and one Canon). One on the East Coast and one on the West Coast. It would be pretty tough with both imagers to come up with very similar colors if the colors weren't correct.

I'm part half-cent man myself, so there's a special place in my heart for any half cent...but even with that bias, it is a very nice coin. Well done!

Very nice coin. I like it and I'm not into copper. But what a dull and mundane world it would be if we all liked the same thing. I too only have one ½ ¢ but it's nowhere near that nice. Good pick up.

    What a great coin Skyman!

Wonderfully struck, nice luster, attractive original color ... what a good way to go on your first one!!

Actually, even if you never had more than one, that one would be one heck of an example to fill the spot!

    Thanks for sharing her image
