<< <i>Interesting... I do not recall seeing a show report that highlighted the popularity of Walkers and Mercs before. Let's see if it continues... Cheers, RickO >>
It is an interesting report. Considering that the report mentioned proofs, and that the mintages are tiny, they may have sold well, but can never drive the market bus. Because of valuations and availability, all the proof Mercs and Walkers sold on the floor are likely going to add up to less transaction value than one high quality six figure value type coin, or a single similarly valued key date Morgan.
I sold a pile of them.
Early walkers that are nice sell quick at way over ask.
I will see Bill in Philly..

<< <i>Proof Walking halves and proof Mercury dimes have been declining in price for several years. I'd say they're down 30% in just the last two years. >>
They were real cheap when Heritage was selling off a lot of low ms grade Jules Reiver stuff last year. I had some really low bids in on proof walkers and got a few more than i intended to.
NGC registry V-Nickel proof #6!!!!
