Beistle Medal with a zit to cure!
I picked up this interesting medal because of my interest in M.L. Beistle and his book on half dollars. I found it quite interesting that all of those Halloween decorations that my mom would set out when I was a kid were actually produced by the company of a man who would help to inspire my love of early half dollars so many years later.
As a side note, the gentleman on the right has a green zit on top of a dark red patch. Would you do anything about that and if so what?

Thanks,
Scott

Acetone will remove the original lacquer coating that was almost certainly applied as a part of the original manufacturing process. It may end up looking worse than it does now. I'd just leave it as it is.
