US Coin Submission to PCGS Question

keyman64keyman64 Posts: 15,650 ✭✭✭✭✭
Say I have 1 RAW coin and 1 coin slabbed by ANACS. I would like to send them both in for grading by PCGS and I am not concerned about the grade PCGS would give.

To save money on shipping, I think I should crack out the ANACS one and send them both in as RAW on the same order form. It isn't like the grader at PCGS sees the grade and any attribution from the previous grading company.....so, are there any legit reasons for me to spend a lot of extra money on shipping? I will then need to inform ANACS of the crack out by sending them their paper insert I guess ...so that they keep their population report accurate.

What say you?

Just leave the coin in the holder. If nothing else it will protect it during shipping.

But you are not allowed to send those two types of orders together on the same form/shipment from what I understand. Am I wrong?

You'll save about $25 by cracking the one coin and sending them in together.

Based on what you posted, it sounds like you should crack the ANACS coin out and submit it on the same invoice as the other coin.

You need a free login in order to view it. It is on the right side of their home page, just a little ways down the page.
