<< <i>Gecko, why are you still deflecting the initial accusation? >>
The "initial accusation" was that Bobby is selling cards that he knows to be trimmed.
Please explain to me how im "deflecting" that accusation. I dont think im quite as smart as you. Maybe you could help me understand. >>
SORRY GECKO.....I meant BOBBY!!! I must get you 2 confused sometimes! My apology. It should have said:
BOBBY, WHY ARE YOU DEFLECTING THE INITIAL ACCUSATION? >>
It doesn't appear to me that Bobby is deflecting the accusation as much as avoiding it altogether. Which kind of points to guilt in my book. It's a shame because that guy has some nice cards that I will never be able to go after now. I will just take my tens of dollars elsewhere.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Here's the thread he started about the card http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=785657&STARTPAGE=1 Lot's of questions as to why he would sell a card like that raw? Pay particular attention to the seller's last post. Hard to believe he would start a thread like that knowing full well his buyer had a real issue.
<< Why didn't you send this card in for grading before listing it on ebay? Did that question ever get answered? >>
I just never did. I wanted to conduct my own little "experiment", as sometimes I see raw cards bring more than their graded counterparts (ie, Waverly, Great Lakes Auction House). I bought the card around 8 months ago from a seller who has never sold me "trimmed" cards before, so I had no reason to believe that was trimmed.

In his ebay listing description, he sure uses alot of "we", "our", and "us". However, taking a gander at his completed listings, Bobby hasnt sold enough to support a pet goldfish let alone a "we" and "us" type of operation. More dishonesty perhaps? Does Bobby feel that his listings have more credibility if listed in such a way as to imply he has a staff full of employees rather than just the perception of being the vest pocket dealer he really is? Who knows?
I really like this part of the listing "All of our graded cards have been authenticated by the best 3rd party graders available (PSA, SGC, & BGS/BVG). Anything not graded by one of these grading companies isn't worth the money paid for it. "

Why are you still here?? Seriously? YOU seem to only show up when there is a pile on thread. Could you please return to your hole and never return. Oh, and before I get a nasty PM from you...yeah I can be a little c!
If Waverly had sold this card, they would have gotten 10x what Bobby did.
It was wrong to not advertise that the card came back EOT. He probably would have sold it for the same amount if he had. I see trimmed cards (advertised as such) sell for some pretty high prices all the time on ebay.
But as someone posted, he DID refund the buyer so you have to give Bobby that.
Is there such thing as half-integrity?
For the record, I have never bought from Bobby nor sold to him (that I remember).
