What to do with all this stuff..............

I got bunches of au to low ms Walkers, Franklins, and Mercs. Not really worth grading, but nice coins.

What the hell do I do with them?

I don't want to sit and photograph them all.

How can I get rid of these and get the best return?

How did I get all this stuff???????????

What are these coins worth in AU?

  • Put them on the BST and see what happens.
    Are they common dates?

If some of your Mercs are like the ton of Mercs I have in 2x2s then they are.....slightly better than melt.....but it is my guess that they will only sell for melt or maybe a hair more....

I would most likely post a large group photo of them on eBay...and list in detail what coins are there along with their approx grade and approx retail value....then let it ride. Since I do not own a bunch of Walkers or Franklins in au-low ms, I'm not sure what to do with those but I have a feeling the opportunity might be the same?

image your dilema sounds familiar... I have a box of stuff that I don't know what to do with but I'm trying to whittle it down by posting it in small bunches. Good luck.

BST or private deal would be my recommendation. Fastest, least hassle. Cheers, RickO

Unless they are true MS grades the AUs will bring very little over melt. I try to sell these but there is no market except for the MS coins unless they are better dates

You also might consider putting the AU's in cheap albums and sell them like that to maximize profit. I buy this AU stuff all the time for melt and would think that the album senario might be the best wa to go

there were a couple recent threads about stuff like this... thousands of low grade early Lincolns in 2x2s, volumes of good and VG barbers, indians, etc...

how to quickly and easily get "what it's worth"??

usually, one must choose between slowly and laboriously part it out at retail, or move it quickly wholesale.

if you find a way to quickly and easily retail it, let the rest of us know ;-)
