Went to my first coin show this weekend! (NewP)

It was out in Richfield, Ohio about a half hour south of Cleveland. Just the right size for a first timer- about 100 tables. I spent about 3-4 hours browsing before making a few purchases. The dealers had a huge inventory of cert. Morgans. I also saw a fair number of early dollars.

I ended up with these two Morgans. The 1880-S is NGC 65 and has a PL obverse. The 1886 is PCGS 63 (which I think is a point or too low) and is much more colorful than the picture shows. I also posted another recent purchase, an 1881-S morgan graded NGC 65. I got it at Stack's in New York on our family vacation.

All in all, it was a good experience for a first show. image

My first coin show. I was 19 at the time IIRC.

It was the FUN show and much more than I expected for sure.

The FUN show would be overwhelming for a first show....

Mr. Chicken- I am thinking that 1886 is hiding some real pleasing color!

nice pickups. I'm with Todd in thinking that '86 is nicer than the pics show.

My first and only show (so far) was in '08 when I was 30. Small ~ 100 table show. good size for a first timer.
