Hopefully it was recovered undamaged and the perps were caught.

the guy picks the bar up, knocks it a time or two on the clear viewing panels (made of acrylic of some kind?);
then pops out the bar by slamming it back, bashing it against the thinner-cut parts of the innermost acrylic panel;
rotates the bar just a bit to slide it out of the arm hole portion of the display (made of a stronger material, but at this point it doesn't matter, as he's already busted out the innermost containment panel and has room inside the clear display cubicle to rotate the bar just enough to pull it right out of the arm hole);
slides the bar into his deep pants pocket, casually walks away from the display, off-view of the camera.
bodda bing, bodda boom.
p.s. of course maybe someone else saw some other stuff going on in the video, I couldn't make it all out.
oh, btw, in the story it is presented that the thieves may have saddled themselves with a white elephant, no mention was made, that I caught, of the bar being melted right off the bat.
Typical... that old saw about gold being hard to get rid of.... this bar is similar in some respects to stolen art, there is a market for it. One way or the other, it can be liquidated. Cheers, RickO

why didn't any of you other people think of this first when you were standing there holding the thing?!
