I have seen worse-looking 65's. Having said that, I think the combination of the field hit and the bagmark behind the mouth limit it to 64, maybe 64+. It just doesn't have the 'look' of a 65 to me.

Still learning this series and have a question about the apparent rub marks on the Eagles breast and what if any is the effect of them on the grade. On most coins a rub can limit grades to AU why not here?

Now you do understand off those pics one can't really look the coin over very well for wear, so we're assuming it's a MS coin. I'll call it a 65, solid. To go 66 in this series, I'd want to see a little less chatter in the mug. I don't do the + thing or the * thing.
