1950's News paper article liberty and buffalo nickels

I found these folded up in a 1956 Ken Bressett coin guide that I picked up at a estate sale. I found them interesting so I thought I would share them.

The year before I was born, $250.00 doesn't seem like much now, but back then it was a bunch. I remember my dad told me he bought his first house for $5000.00, the one I lived in till I was three years old in Palo Alto, Calif.. That's about what an uncirculated 3 legged Buffalo nickel cost today...Man I'm getten old....

  • Thanks I found them very good reading.

Columns like that were once very common in major newspapers. Do any newspapers still run coin columns?
