1921 Morgan Dollar Broken Die - help...

swartz1swartz1 Posts: 4,911 ✭✭✭
Just picked this up as I strolled through the NMB Flea Market in South Carolina...

I usually hang out in the Sports Card forums but found this interesting as I talked to the seller...

My question is...

Is there any added value to a piece like this? (I paid $20 for it)

The seller told me he "thought" it was from a broken die...

There are hair lines? that go across the tops of the letters...

I hope you can see from the pick - thanks in advance for any knowledge

Technically the die was broken, and the lines connecting the letters are called die cracks. It may be worth a premium, but I don't know VAMs, so I will defer to the experts.
