This coin belongs to a friend of mine and when I saw it

    This is the lowest grade coin I own. 1864-s transitional reverse. PCGS graded it an FA-2 I am not sure how rare it is. I am guessing it's an R-6 with it being a transitional reverse, but i really don't know. If anyone know's more about the coin i would love to hear.

    Although I never was attracted to this side of collecting, I am glad that these coins find welcoming homes in such collections. I have an IHC that I cannot determine a date on... very low grade.... have had it since I was a kid. That is the only really low grade piece I have. Cheers, RickO
