Sat Preshow reports.....

Oh how I love the great city of Boston, in fact if the winters were a bit warmer I could see myself returning to live there (I lived there years ago before moving back to NY)

Anyway..... started today with crew in tow...David and Morris and our plan was to visit the "Castle" preshow first and then head over to the "Baystate" preshow later in the day..... This for us was really more about sell, sell, sell as we had quite a bit of material that had piled up in the shop over the past few months.....

Very quickly we sold a wide range of coins from rolls of silver dollars to all type of gold ..... it was actually a very quick and easy affair and we visited many of our fellow dealers at both shows....

easy to park in the nearby garage, no worries...but it will set you back a few dollars and FREE to enter the Castle...just show your ID, .... they really run a nice show with refreshments for the dealers, both shows had good security in place and action i.e. buying and selling was taking place... granted for some a little slower than they might like, but that is the way preshows can sometimes run.... PCGS was doing there thing at the Castle, ANACS was over at Baystate....

We actually went back and forth 2x to each show because we kept picking up coins that we knew were needed at the other show and vice versa...
all in all... cant wait til the real fun begins at ANA... looking forward to what I think will be very positive show reports with I believe loads of people coming in to Beantown for a really nice show...... have a good rest of the weekend!!!!! Jon

PS: Lunch tip... best restaurant NEW in town.... actually a couple of my friends Alfred and Bill are involved in the chain... from overseas in Germany.... its called Vapiano I highly recomend you try it out...right down the street from the shows.....

PS: Picked up a really rare New Haven SCD for under $200 bucks in a dealers case...... now that deserves a "you suck" award LOL

Good report, keep us posted. What type of fare is served at Vapiano's?? No show report is complete without a culinary section. image Cheers, RickO

Vapiano which is open in several locations around the US, is something really different.... its really about freshness, everything is made in the store (even the herbs are grown inhouse) menu is either pasta, pizza, or panini and prices are fair.... for example a chicken pesto panini offered with either soup or salad will cost you about $10
decor is Europe chic, and tables are community property..... you use a credit card to track what you ate, which they give you when you walk in and you give back and pay when you leave...... I would recommend it for lunch without a doubt enjoy
