Got to love the keyword spamming. "No 10s" on a PSA 2 card?

I am totally confused about this auction.....was it not won?

And did that card really pull a '9' with the left to right centering/tilt like it has? I had an '8' that I sold for $700 that looked better than that!

Agreed, no way that should be in a 9 holder.
Kiss me once, shame on you.
    Kiss me twice.....let's party.

I can see it get away with a 9 but the corners would have to be razor sharp. Do you have a scan of the back?

    Message from buyer:

"Sorry I can't buy the card"

    That's it!!

Don't know if I want to leave negative feedback or just let it go and get my final value fees back. I just don't want the buyer to have a chance to leave feedback on me.

Yes, I paid $4950 for this card 5 years ago. I'm already taking a loss and don't need you guys to make it even worse with your sorry comments about my card, in which I'm trying to sell.

Still a great buy at $4,000!!

    Thanks,

    Roland

As a seller you do not have the option of leaving negative feedback.

Really that sucks!! He'd better agree to the cancel transaction. Already it's been two days and he hasn't agreed to it yet.

As for Spamming the only reason I try to put PSA 10 in the title so that way people who only search ebay for Nolan Ryan PSA 10 my card will come up on their search. Pretty simple!! I know Ryan collectors and they only search for Nolan Ryan PSA 10 or Nolan Ryan PSA 9 on ebay.

File the non paying bidder claim, even if he does not cancel the transaction it will automatically be eligible for you to close out the case after 4 days and you will get fees refunded.

Did you try sending a 2nd chance to the underbidder?

You may have lower your asking price to get a legit buyer for that card..

Roland, I really mean no disrespect...I do think it is a weak '9', but it is a '9' nonetheless.....why don't you just consign it with REA in their 2011 auction next April?

I tried sending a second chance offer but the next high bidder had a feedback of 3, so he probably won't be buying.

I might just send it off to REA in April along with others.

You know, looking at this auction and the card in question, yes, it's the biggest stretch of a 9 I've seen on a Ryan RC. It would need razor sharp corners and edges, a perfect surface and the back centering is looks 60/40 or better.

...But how is his title spam? It says "NO PSA 10S". He's just saying that as a selling point that there are no known Gem Mint Ryan RCs. Sure, most heavy collectors problably can acquire the population report online, the point is I'm almost positive that doesn't count as spam. Maybe someone could put that into perspective.

CarsonPalmer, You really have no room to talk to anyone about their selling practices considering you were called out recently by another board member. And honestly,

Leave the guy alone, he's trying to sell his card. He doesn't deserve this crap from you.

that had nothing to do with selling..someone pulled cards for me and i didnt like the price he was charging and he thought that warranted calling me a bad trader? i will leave him be but do you really agree with putting NO PSA 10's on an auction for a PSA 2 card..i didnt think so!

This CarsonPalmer kid is a waste of time. All of us who've been around this board for a while know this. Don't let him ruffle your feathers, Roland. Good luck with your sale.

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I don't care any more about these boards, because there's no real buyers here any ways. Just a bunch of bums, who have nothing better to do but bash people when they try to sell stuff.

I will not be posting anymore For Sales on these boards!!

I'm sure this will make some of you happy. But for the few out there that want to make trading/selling/buying cards a pleasurable pastime please PM me or email me.

I'm also sorry for my last post!! Just gets so frustrating dealing with idiots and also selling off my Ryan collection, which I love like my first born, is already bad enough.

To top it all off I'm now limited on selling on eBay!!

    Thanks a lot boards,

    Roland

Well before it was deleted it sure comes off that way.

All this over being caught for a policy violation.

Limited how? You are still able to sell on ebay just like anyone else who follows the correct listing format. You are not gonna get less money because you do not put PSA 10 in your title. Anyone who is gonna drop 4K on a card of that caliber is not swayed by a lame listing title. You have just got to thicken up the skin a little or send it off to an auction house.

Looking over the policy on eBay for search and browse manipulation it says:

It's against our policies to do anything that manipulates the search or browse experience on eBay. This applies to all parts of a listing, including the title, subtitle, product details, description, pictures, links, and meta tags (see also our HTML and JavaScript policy). If a seller uses tactics that can inappropriately divert bidders and buyers to a listing, we will take action.

Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

I would say that although restrictions hurt it's better then a suspension of an account.

Don't feel bad Brandon...some turned me in when I used "SGC 84=PSA 7". It is just the way it is. And it is my understanding that you can write anything you want to in the little box under your header (the subtitle option)....although it costs more unfortunately.

Touche. Most people looking for PSA Ryan Rookies will type "1968 Nolan Ryan Rookie PSA".....Anyone looking for that card will know that a PSA 10 will cost an arm and a leg. You included that in your title, when there really was no reason necessary to do that. While I think your card is overgraded, nonetheless it got the '9' slot, and should be worth some serious coinage. Not quite sure you will get it on Ebay, but I am 100% positive one of the auction houses around would love to sell it for you, and you should be able to get 0% commission fee due to the value.
